A fitness and wellness change is not going to happen without stepping foot in a gym. It's not going to be effortless either, therefore you can forget about cutting corners. It doesn't matter if it's a home or regular gym, crossFit gym, or even a dance studio; as long as it's a place where you can do work, and other people go to get right.
