They say “a picture’s worth a thousand words.” If that’s the case, then each one of Benoit Paillé’s captivating photographs is worth a novel. Paillé’s series of snaps, entitled Stranger Project, captures strangers, who he encounters in “non-existent places” such as crowded streets, subways, malls etc. There is both a sense of presence and endearment in each photo, which helps convey the emotion of the “model”. It’s easy to overlook these emotions in everyday life, but for a photographer, Paillé does a great job in capturing them to tell a tale. More on the reverse.
